Chrysler is known for good parts interchangeability between models and years. Ford and GM are not. The best way to know what will interchange is to use a web site like that for Rock Auto, Carquest, and Auto Zone, look up the part number for both years, and see if they are the same. If the numbers are the same, the parts will interchange. If the numbers are different, there is still the possibility they'll interchange, but you have to figure out what the differences are. For example, the generator might use the same plug but have different mounting ears. A vacuum solenoid might simply have a port turned slightly for clearance, but that minor difference could warrant a new part number.
You can also visit any salvage yard and look the parts up in their "Hollander" Guide. That will give each part a code number. You look that number up in the rear of the book and it will list every year and model that uses that part.
