1996 Ford F-150 idle

I have a slightly rough idling problem which I cant seem to locate. In addition, sometimes at startup, the engine acts like its not getting enough fuel to run so I have to slam the accelerator down for only a second to keep it running

I do not know your rig well

Are you showing a check engine light (if so Autozone or Advance Auto can test codes for FREE!)

I recently had a Similar issue on Wife's Ford Escape---No code thrown, It was the IAC. About $60, EZ to replace.

IAC is sorta the thing that controls Idle, it does not Meter in Fuel----It Meters in Air, to control idle speed. Its kinda a Air Bypass over the throttle butterfly.
