My car is making a loud knocking noise while I am driving. The car is no vibrating or shaking. There is a loud noise coming from the front of the car. Also, the check engine light just came on two days ago.

Take it to most autoparts stores and have codes read for free.

If knocking only occurs at speed, then it is probably a CV axle or bearing.

Have CV boots inspected for rips/tears ad lubricant leaking.
