2003 Pontiac Grand Prix Intermittent Power Steering

What would cause power steering on a 2003 Grand Prix to work well when turning right but intermittently or not at all when turning left?

The most likely cause would be a faulty rack and pinon assembly. You could try to remove some power steering flluid out and put some lucas power steering treatment to try to better lubricate the rack and pinion. If you look on the internet some more. You'll find that symptom is associated with a faulty rack and pinion
