When the temperature is below forty degrees outside, my car has a little trouble starting. I start the car and it will run for a few seconds and stall out. Will do that a few times and then the car will start and run fine. I have noticed when this happens the security light will not come on. When the security light comes on it will start and stay running. Any ideas?

Will it stay running if you put your foot on the gas? Usually if its a security system shutting it down the security light will flash continuously and not go out. When the light comes on and then goes out, that means it passed security.

No, it will not. It takes a few turns of the key for the security light to even come on but it never flashes continuously. This has been going on since 60,000 miles and im getting tired of it. And I refuse to take it to the dealer.

Sounds like your ignition switch is bad. They had a real problem with the electrical igniton switch not switching on igniton power intermittently and that would explain why after turning key a couple times the security light would come on then it would start fine. Let me know, confidence level on this is high.
