1998 Pontiac Grand Prix It wont start

1998 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

I switched the spark plugs and after I did that it wouldnt start up. I put the old plugs back in and it started up and black smoke came out the car and the engine was shaking. I want to know the problem with it. Do I need any kind of parts?

You may have installed the wrong plug, also make sure you installed wires in correct sequence, and make sure you did not pull off a wire connector when you removed wires.

If you are getting black smoke and all you did was change plugs, then you most likely have the wires mixed up or pulled a wire connector off.
