Hi there, how can u tell if your starter is done. I replaced the battery with a new one and went out, stopped a 3 different places ten car wouldnt start.

Remove starter and have it tested at most autoparts stores for free.

But if new battery failed, I would suspect alt. Before starter.

Drive car to most autoparts stores (before removing starter :) ) and have charging system tested, or use multimeter on battery posts (engine running) and measure volts at battery posts, should be 13.5-14.5V.

If under 13V the alt is bad.
