My good friend Joe has a 2000 lincoln town car 4.6 ltr v8 nice and clean and everything, but when he brakes while he's driving it like shudders, I mean the car like wobbles or shudders until it stops, not a hard vicious shutter but like a back n forth wobble/shudder until it comes to a complete stop. Hes a mechanic too, pretty good one at that but he thought it was the back brakes n took it apart and it was all fine, now he thinks its the ABS brake thingy? I dont know any thoughts man?

Could be front brakes as well as back. Any warpage at all in the brake rotors, especially the front, will cause this.

Any other ideas that come to mind? I mean the ABS sensor or anything like that? He doesn't think its the pads or the calipers but the warped rotors is a good one he'll have to check that out. Thanks if u think of anyhting else let me know.

My buddy checked out the truck before I got it and its in pretty good shape. The oil leak isn't anything serious, we think it might just be the oil filter or around that area. I am going to do an oil change first with some Castrol synthetic, and just a regular Fram filter. Cause the oil filter is white and looks kinda ghetto lol, like a shit brand filter. Anyways I got a question what happens if the brake lights are on but the car isn't running and its off? Any suggestions? Its kinda weird I dont know I was just wondering if you knew anything like that, I know electrical is a pain in the ass and it could be anumber of problems but if you could narrrow it down i'd be appreciated. By the way I get paid tomorrow so i'll donate some money thanks for all your help.

I the brake lights are on while car is off or even while brakes are not pressed than the brake light switch is most likely at fault, it is located just above the brake pedal bracket under driver dash.

I have a quick question, that I hope someone can help me with. I have a 95 nissan pick up truck extended cab, I had weird bucket seats in it that didn't fit properly. So I sold them, now I was wondering does a bench seat have the same bolt pattern as the bucket seats that go in the extended cab? So what i'm asking is will a bench seat fit into my extended cab where the bucket seats were without drilling new holes?
