I have a 1987 Honda Prelude, 4 cylinder, with 188,500 miles so far. It runs great except for this one problem that has been difficult for the Honda service repair people to diagnose. I live in Denver and two years ago, my car started having the problem of dying out while driving on a very hot day, like 95 and above. So, we started the replacement of stuff, like the oxygen sensor, gas tank, main relay, distributor/rotor, fuel filter, spark plugs were okay, using better gas and fuel injection stuff, however, the problem still exists. Once the car stops, I wait about 15 minutes and it will start right up again and sound great. Sometimes it will keep running but often it will choke out again after driving about 10-15 minutes. This never happens in cool weather and it didn't happen at all last summer while my a/c was not working. I recently had the a/c fixed and have had it on when the above problem first occurs. Could there possibly be a connection between the a/c compressor that is starting to go out and a fuel distribution problem?
