1999 Honda Civic Engine dying when throttle suddenly opened

Hi I was looking for some help with a honda civic 1.4i.
when the throttle is suddenly snapped open the engine drops off to 500rpm with full open throttle. The engine will not cut out but stays at the 500rpm until the throttle is closed. If the throttle is opened slowly the engine will respond asd normal. Have you came across this problem before or can you give me any advice on what I should try?

Hi there make sure that you have good fuel pressure and flow, change the fuel filter and run a scan to check for any set fault codes, also if you can try another TIP sensor as well.
