When I start my 1999 accord, I have to hold the key in the start position longer then normal to get the engine to start. Once it starts it runs fine, but is difficult to start. I"m wonderng if it's the starter switch of a dirty injector, or something else?

Hi Steve2210,

I believe it is the fuel pressure rather anything else.

Try turning the ignition switch ON and OFF 2 or 3 times and test if it is easier to start. If yes, then you have a fuel pressure loss problem and it could be a faulty fuel filter in fuel tank, a known problem for the year model.
