1998 Honda Accord engine dies

When I drive I notice the instument pannel and all the warning sybols flicker and the door lock also flicker up and down and than the engine dies. I pull over to the side and re-start the engine again. What is wrong could it be the egnition switch.

Yes that is a classic case of a failing ignition switch.

If it is a failing ignition switch. For Honda Accords 1997 - 1999 (i think) there was a recall on the ignition switches and you can get it fixed for free at your local Honda dealership. You can go to the Honda owner website and it will tell you more about the recall. Hope this helps!
