I've replaced plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor and fuel filter and checked to see if there is water in the gas tank. No water, and plugs are getting gasoline.
Once I get it to fire off I can run it all day, make fifteen stops in town and cruise at 65 mph in top form. The coil checks out on my ohmmeter. What have I overlooked?

Will the engine start with starting fluid? Have you checked for spark when it doesn't start? Have you replaced the temp sensor? Has the check engine light ever come on and have you checked fuel pump pressure?
Let me know.

Starting fluid doesn't make much difference it seems, though I've gotten some help if I use my charger/starter when I'm cranking the engine. Am I getting fire when the engine doesn't start? Yes. The temperature sensor has not been checked, where is it? The engine check light has only gone on prior to cranking. Fuel pump pressure has not been checked.

The temp sensor is near the thermostat housing. If you are getting good spark and it still gives you a hard time starting it, it must be fuel related. I would recommend checing fuel pump pressure. Here is a how to for checking it.
You will need a fuel pressure gauge. Most parts stores will lend or rent one to you.
Let me know if you have other questions. Have a great new year and thanks for using 2carpros.com.

Fuel pump pressure could be the problem, I'll check it. I've noticed that pumping the accelerator slightly when it's cold helps get it to finally start. I'm currently running my second tank of Sea Foam through the system to see if the fuel injectors might just need cleaning. What is your opinion on this product? Happy New Year!

I've never used it, but I've heard many people that swear by it.
Let me know what you find, and I wish you a great new year too.
Take care and I look forward to hearing from you.

Did you ever figure out what is wrong with your honda. I have a 1993 Honda Accord SE and it now does not want to start when it's cold. It had a complete tune up Feb of 09 and I Just changed the fuel filter out this past weekend.
