Engine Mechanical problem
1993 Honda Accord 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My 1993 Honda Accord has engine starting problems. Every so often the engine will not start, no clicking noise, nothing. It happens sporadically. Sometimes I have to wait 10 minutes and then it will start, and sometimes it take 24 hours. It will be fine for a week or two and then act up again. It seems to be getting worse. The battery is fine. I heard it might be a relay problem. Any ideas are welcome.

Thank you.

Hi there,

I would start with getting the starter motor o/hauled as this is often the cause of this problem.

Does the overdrive light (D4) on the dash flash when it wont start.

I had this same problem car wouldnt start wait some period of time and then it would. Tried everything and the one thing that seemed to work was throwing ice water on it. Mechanics had a hell of a time with it and Finally were able to figure out the problem

it was the Distributer. I would have yours checked had a new one installed and I have not had a problem with it since
