I have a 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. It will run fine for a while then it just dies completely. What could be causing this problem?

First, neat car. I don't see them very often anymore. Regardless, does the car start right back for you when it dies? Has the check engine light come on? If it doesn't start right back up, have you checked to see if spark or fuel is missing to the engine?

Let me know.

The car don't start right back. Usually if it sits long enough to cool off it starts back. The check engine light is not on. Could this be a result of a faulty ignition module or ignition coil getting to hot?

This is Ricky, I have the 88 Turbo Coupe that you replied to. The car don't start right back, but usually if it sits long enough to cool off it will start back. Could this be a result of a faulty ignition module or ignition coil that is getting to hot?

Yes, it could be that. However, before you start replacing parts, check to see if the engine is getting spark and fuel when it doesn't start. If it has spark, then the module is good and there is a fuel problem.

Let me know what you find.
