Car won't start

I have a '96 ford taurus, 102,000 miles, 3.0 enginge.

I just put a new starter in and all it does is make a "CLICK".

Try to jump battery
check battery terminals clean and ensure they tight
check ground and wires on starter
did u had the problem before the new starter

check to make sure u have oil and coolant
try to turn engine by hand

remove plugs check for fluid in cylinder
good luck
