Whenever I start my ranger on a cold day or after a good rain, the truck will not start unless the gas petal is depressed and held down for awhile till the truck warms up. Then the truck will also stall out when stopped at a stop sign or traffic light. The truck is not driven everyday and can be parked on the street for up to a week without moving. Could it be the fuel pump?
