1972 Ford Mustang V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

this csr has set for a while when it broke down they thought cam went out before it take it all apart I got the moter to turn over but I found out that the rotor button is not turning could that have to do with the cam or does that mean the timing chain went out they supposidly changed the timing chain and gear a while back but they wasnt sure if it was a plastic chain or gear there was a lot of hot trodding with this car with the clevland motor it has

Rotor button not turning would indicate timming chain. Pull Valve cover rotate engine rockers not moving then chain/gears. I would put on steel gears and double chain. Crane or Crowler make great sets.
