This particular truck has duel fuel tanks. The rear tank started to have delivery problems and the engine began to sputter, now when I flip to the rear tank the engine will not stay fired. I was wondering if on this model year of the F-150 would the rear tank share a fuel pump with the front tank or are they separate.

There are actually 3 fuel pumps in that system. There is a low pressure "feeder" pump inside each tank and a pressure pump mounted on the frame.

Make sure it's not the switch for the tanks that controls those pumps.

That would make sense, I am also having a problem with the switch for the wipers and there are in the same area. I will check, thanks again.
