1991 Ford Escort turns over but will not start

Hello
i have a 1991 ford escort 4dr with a 1.9l engine and a auto trans

last week I was driving it home and the engine died. It would turn over but not start.
i checked the timing belt and found it not broken but missing many teeth. So I replaced the timing belt and it still would not start. Just cranks.I check for spark and I dont have any. What could be the problem. Ignition module coil pack.

If you had missing teeth on the belt, you may have bent or broken valves, or hole in your pistons, do a compression test. Can't do any more damage.
