About my 1998 Ford Contour that won't start and you haven't

If I put the pedal to the floor it does now act like it wants to start it just doesn't
i'm afraid i'm wearing out my new battery please help and respond

Try changing yoru fuel filter, and air filters. Also fuel injectors can become dirty due to cheap gas. Try some dry gas at the cheapest.

Also, try new spark plugs, and check the gap, and check the spark plug wires to be sure they are transferring the amount of electricity needed.

These are the cheaper ideas that I have come by working on cars.
