Don't start it until the afternoon! :)
Is the smoke black, blue, or white? How long before it stops? Have you had to add oil or antifreeze? Does it start instantly or do you have to crank it awhile?
White smoke could be nothing more than condensation burning off after a number of short trips. If it smells sweet, it could be antifreeze.
Blue smoke is oil. If it smokes after sitting an hour or more, it could be oil running past the valve guide seals. Sometimes this is aggravated by gas in the oil and will clear up after an oil change or when the gas burns off.
Black smoke is gasoline. A leaky injector could fill a cylinder with raw fuel. It also bleeds down the fuel pressure. It can take a few seconds to build that pressure back up resulting in a long crank time. Gas on a cylinder will run into the oil too and dilute it leading to blue smoke.
