You can start the van, drive a block the trans will not shift, but when you start it up after a while it does the same thing , but let it sit for a while then it will pull great for another block will not go into reverse either. It doesn, t slip at all, could there be sensors that contol?

Is the OverDrive light on or flashing? This usually indicates a sensor related issue with the tranny.

There are several sensors located on the transmission. A reputable tranny shop could diagnose the problem for a very low price. This is much better than playing the guessing game and replacing one part at a time until the right one is found.
