1997 Dodge Caravan Won't restart after turned off

My van will run and drive fine as long as it is running but once I turn the key off it does not want to restart. I had a friend jump start me and it ran until I got home I turned it off and then it would not restart. Then about a half hour later my brother in law went to look at it and he tried to start it and it started fine my question is. Why would it be doing that?

Also I have went to start my van and all my gauges and all my digital stuff will not work and then they will start working again all on their own.

I have one more question and that is. I have electrical windows my back wing window can be opened but my window buttons for them do not work is there a fuse or something that could be out?

With the no start issue, are you saying it cranks good, but won't start, or it won't even crank? I'd make sure the battery has a full charge and all connections oming and going are clean and tight on all ends. Any applicable mil codes?

As far as gages and digital stuff, when the problem occurs, you may have to check feed to and from the ignition switch.

For the power wondows, are you saying the master switch doesn't work or the window switch on the door?
