Truck cranks but will not start. Have spark and can hear fuel pump running. Plugs have gas on them.

I would start by checking the fuel pressure. Just because you can here the pump, and smell fuel on plugs does not mean its getting the proper amount of fuel. The pressure should be 55 to 60 psi to run. Also while checking pressure take a small sample in a clear cup to check quality of fuel in tank

Do you think it could be the fuel pressure regulator. The fuel pump itself is fairly new. And if so where is that located

The fuel pressure regulator is located under the intake plenium. If you suspect the regulator is faulty just pinch off the return line to the tank and see if the pressure goes up.

Was just told by someone that the truck has very weak spark and was told to replace the ignition control module. Does this make sense

Weak spark sould still ignite the fuel, it would at least try to start or run poorly. Also weak spark would more or less be the coil not the module. Advise anything is possiable. I only sugguested checking the fuel pressure, because its the more common issue with this type of vehicle.
