I have a 1993 blazer vortec cpi that did the same thing. It has an internal fuel leak in the intake from the incoming line and flooded the motor with raw gas. Pull your dipstick and if it smell like gas you may have vapor lock.I replaced the line, changed the oil and it fired right up. Mine wouldn't even turn over. It sounded like the motor seized when you tried to start it.

The technical term for the assembly is "nut kit"which consist of the incoming and return fuel lines which on one end have a plastic plug the presses into the spider assembly(pressure regulator, fuel injection lines)and the other end is where the fuel lines screw into at coming from the tank and returning to the tank. If you remove the intake plenum you will see the whole fuel injection assembly. Have someone turn the key on, BUT DON'T START THE MOTOR, unless you aren't happy with your face. Lol. If you see fuel spraying out of any lines in there then that is you problem. Takes about 10-15 minutes to remove the intake plenum on my truck. Let me know if the helped.

We changed the spider thing on top and replaced the fuel line coming from the tank. The oil does smell like raw gas. After we replaced all this then it would not start again. When you try to crank it, it just turns over and when you turn lose of the switch it acts like it wants to crank. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks for all your input. It has helped alot.

Are you sure you are getting fuel to the injectors? Also have you checked to make sure you are getting spark at the spark plug. If your oil smells like raw gas I would changed that before you try starting it up. The gas could dilute your oil. If you are getting fuel to the injectors and gettting spark we can go from there. Easy way to tell if you fuel pump is working is listen for it near the tank when you turn the key on, you will hear a buzzing sound for about 2-3 seconds. Also the is a nozzle right where the fuel line goes into the intake plenum with a car that looks like a tire valve cap, turn the key on to prime the system and use a screwdriver to push the valve down on this nozzle. If fuel squirts out your pump is powering up. Let me know abouot this and the spark and we will go from there. Sometimes on these cars when they are run out of gas it burns up the fuel pump.
