When I turn the ignition key the engine cranks but it won't start. I can hear the fuel pump cycle. My gas gage hasn't worked in a few years and I'm wondering if my fuel pump is finally giving out.

Try spraying starter fluyid into intake and see if she starts. Thats a tell tale sign of a weak fuel pump. These trucks will not start unless high fuel pressure and fuel volume. Most of the time they will stay running after the initial spray of starter fluid. But it still will need a pump. Hope this helps
