I have a 1996 Chevy Lumina Mini Van that will not start. I just replaced the fuel filter. I can hear the fuel pump cycle when you turn the key but the van will not start. Just before the van stopped running it was sputtering like it was not getting fuel. I thought it might be a plugged filter but it still will not run. What may be the cause of this as it is not running and like I said you can hear the pump cycle and there was fuel in the filter when I took the old 1 off. It will run for a moment with quick start sprayed into the throttle body but will not stay running. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you Erick

Eric, you need to check fuel pump pressure and volume to make sure it's working properly.
Let me know what you find.

I did replace the fuel pump as I was unable to test the pressure coming from the pump as I was not able to get the van running. As it turns out the fuel pump was the issue and the van is working properly other than the heater fan speeds. Thank-you for your help as it did lead me in the right direction. Thank-you Erick

Eric:
What is wrong with the fan speed? If it only works on high, replace the blower motor resister. That should take care of the problem.
