1996 Chevy Lumina Front Wheel Drive Automatic

i have a problem! My girlfriends lumina has power, lights come on and radio dash lights everything works, when you turn the key to all the way to turn the car over it does noyhing. I changed the starter and still nothing? Any suggestions would be helpfull, thx

Is your security light blinking when you attempt to crank the car?
If so your theft deterent system is triggered. If you have a spare key try it. If it still doesn't work, there's a way to trick the rascal by installing a resistor of the proper resistance in a loop with your ignition wire.

I do see that the security light is blinking when I turn the key over, so know what causes this how can I fix this or bye pass this? Please help me thx your new best friend!
