1990 Chevy Lumina Car wont stay running

1990 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Automatic 131000 miles

I can start the car and it will run for about30 seconds and shut off and I have to let it sit for 15 min before I can try again and get it to start for those 30 seconds again. I had a mechanics diagnostics run on it a month ago and they told me my coils are getting bad could this be the problem or is it a fuel problem?

Check the fuel injectors. Sounds like one or more of the injectors resistance is way out of range. Disconnect each injector and measure the resistance. Each shoud read around 11 or 12 ohms. Try that.
