What is your question or issue with no start? The main relay is under the drivers side dash on the left. Looks like a grey box and should say Mitsuba on it.

Thank you for reply. Question was asked when trouble began and I was attempting to identify relays.

Bought a repair manual and all relays involved in start signal were identified. Common sense items, the starter, the battery positive and negative cables proper ground connections have been replaced. Car has 140,000 and these items needed to be replaced anyway. However that is where I draw the line. Cost becomes a factor, and I am not pulling and changing to try and get lucky.

Trouble will not stay long enough to shoot it. Therefore I have installed three volt-meters (see diagram other posting) and when it happens again I will know where start signal is being lost. Keep you posted.

The meters paid off. After all this effort the problem was the starter motor. Who says you cannot pull three motors off the shelve at Advanced Auto and have three defective motors?

When there brand of re-built starter motor is shipped, an oval cardboard protector is placed over the starter signal input connection. This is to prevent the connection from being damaged during shipping/handling.

All three motors had loose internal connections on the starter signal input.

As a test, I had the clerk pull six motors off the shelve for inspection and three of the six did not have the protectors installed.

Be advised; if your buying a re-built starter motor for an Acura from Advanced Auto check for the oval cardboard protection on the signal input lead. Also, check for any movement of the connector, it should be rock-solid. Rock-on. Saailer

Hi Saailer,

Thank you for the input. Good that you have solved your problem.

I personally never trust rebuilts. I would rather do it myself. ;)
