Replaced alternator on 2001 mustang gt but it still wont start, what can it be

The alternator has nothing to do with the car starting. Before I can help you I need to know if the engine turns over when you try to start it or does it not. And if it doesn't, do you have power to the rest of the car. Finally, tell me everything you did to diagnose your issue so I won't be going over something you've already done.
