The starter motor won't shut off even though the engine is running. I disconnected the neg battery terminal to turn the whole engine off. The neg battery terminal was hot and every time I recoonected the ternimal the starter motor runs. Any idea?

Hi there,

with the engine running unplug the small wire at the starter solenoid (the only small wire on the starter) check for power at this wire with the engine running, there should be none, if there is power look at the switch next, if not have the starter checked out, start here.
