Hi Pro’s, last year I noticed water dripping inside the cab of my vehicle listed above. I pulled the upper stop taillight, thinking that was it, not the problem. I’m thinking it’s coming from the luggage roof rack. I’m thinking the seals connecting the roof rack to the car are old and cracked. My question is how to get the roof rack off so I can replace the seals or just seal it with silicone. Thanks for your professional help in this matter.

Hi,

I have nothing in my manual for removing the luggage rack, but I believe the headliner needs to be removed to access the bolts holding it on the vehicle. What I would suggest is to remove a portion until you can see where the rack attaches. If they are accessible from that point, the headliner needs to be removed.

I attached the directions for removing the headliner. When you do this, only do enough to see if there are bolts holding it you can access. They may be recessed and not easy to see, so take your time.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

joe
