I'm back!About that 87 nissan, parts guy said this year did not have crank sensor, this was my first initial guess on the problem, however, gave up when told this. Does he not know what he is talking about? The Car is carburated, so you say it doesn't have o2 sensor? Mmm. What could be making it shut down? Is there perhaps a different kind of sensor that could be shutting fuel off? Something is definitely making it shut down after running great for 10 min. I'm frustrated!

Hi Dawn Melton,

This model most probably utilises a mechanical fuel pump, check that out.

If fuel is getting to the carb but not the float chamber, chek the needle valve and filter above it.

There is also a idle circuit solinoid, check if it is malfunctioning.
