Put car on problem read out message is intake air temperature sensor circuit malfunction. Replaced air temperature sensor just before the air filter. After changing the sensor, this did not fix the problem, question is was this the right sensor to change or if is the right one how do I get the computer to know the sensor was replaced? Thanks, Dan

Both the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor as well as the IAT (intake air temperature) sensor are located in the air intake. The MAF sensor is closer to the engine and the IAT sensor is closer to the driver side fender. A diagram is below to help you determine if you replaced the correct one. If you did replace correctly then use the same scan tool to reset the trouble code, or disconnect battery and reconnect 10 - 15 minutes later.
