Hello, I came across the above picture. As far as the firing order, number 1 cylinder fires first, then cylinder number 4 and then number 2, and so on through the firing order.

Firing orders I've been given. 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 and 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8
Would like to know if anyone has a different firing order for this engine. A few years ago we had to replace the coil packs and forgot to mark where the wires went.
Recently we had to remove the wires again and the tape used was removed accidentally.
We were given firing orders and car would not start. Again this time is the same. A few years ago I walked into a Tire shop and the gentleman said he knew exactly which order I needed. He was kind enough to give me the information and I used it on the vehicle and it started no problems. The Tire shop went out of business and no possible way for me to know where the kind man is today.
For you information I checked against what I was given before the Tire shop and they were different. So if someone out there knows a different order please let me know. Thank you for your time.
