The vehicle listed above B7, needs repairs. Insufficient oil drained (1-2L below recommended). Odd since I recently replaced it, used correct quantity (confirmed by dipstick, no leaks). The mechanic suggested retrofitted dipstick may be inaccurate. Oil level now >1cm higher. No issues initially. Before 800 km journey, noticed minor oil leak from engine top. Unconcerned due to small amount. On freeway at 4.2k RPM, received red "Oil pressure too low" warning briefly, recurred 4-5 times in 5 km (no chance to stop). Engine made slight grinding noises, towed home. Is this a overfill issue or something different?

Chances are the oil pump pick up screen is clogged, or the oil pump needs to be replaced. The engine may be damaged and needs replacement. Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so I can hear the noise? That way I can tell for sure what's going on. You can upload it here with your response. Here is how to remove the oil pan and check the pick-up. There is a change the oil pressure sensor needs to be replaced so I have included that as well. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
