Hi djs22,

Check the brake switch adjustment. Excessive clearance between the pedal and switch stopper would cause the problem described.

The brake switch is attached to the support above the brake pedal.

To adjust, unplug the brake switch wire connector. Loosen the lock nut and back off till it is the threaded part is not touching the brake pedal support stopper. (If stopper is bad, replace it and test the free play.)

Turn brake switch in till the threaded part touches the stopper and back off 1/2 a turn. Tighten lock nut to secure the brake switch.
