I have just replaced the EGR Valve. Since the Diag
Codes indicated a EGR failure. The "Service Engine Soon" light has now disappeared. My question is that after installing the new EGR Valve, I hear a loud vacuum (air hissing ) noise coming from near the EGR valve. I do not recall this loud Air Noise from the Engine compartment. This may be normal?
Could you provide some suggestions?
Thanks

Hello
Thanks for the donation.

No, this is not normal.
It sounds like you have knocked a vacuum line loose. The EGR valve operates directly with the manifold vacuum so I suggest checking the hoses around the installation area of the EGR valve. Ensure all hoses are tight and free of any damage that will cause leaks.

Post your results and I will follow up.

Hope this helps.
