95 Caprice 4.5 cant find solenoid

Have a 95 chevy caprice with a bad solenoid. I know that it is supposed to be on top of the starter, but I cant find the starter. Need to know which side it is on, easiest way to remove, and if I can change my solenoid from under the hood instead of under the car.

UNDER HOOD, CENTER, LOWER ENGINE AREA, MOUNTED ON PASSENGER SIDE OF ENGINE ON STARTER. If I can find a pic of the location I will post it. Hope this helps any
