Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive

hello there,
Well my question is what else could be wrong with my car? We changed the Thermostat and the water pump but it still over heats. The water run though the engine and we also check for dripping under the engine and there is none.

Make sure the coolant level is full, next pressure test the cooling system. If overheating persists, then perform a compresson test.

Is car overheating (steam, coolant loss) or is the gauge in the red? It may not be overheating, just a bad gauge.

You can use a scan tool in live data mode. Look at coolant temp PCM is showing, if different than gauge then gauge or gauge sender is bad.
For example, if temp gauge is in red, but scanner shows normal temp, then gauge/sender is bad.
