1994 Chevy Cavalier Antifreeze/Coolant leek

I am haveing a problem with a coolent leek coming from around the oilpan near the bottom of the car. I replaced the thermostat with a new oem one. What els could be the problem?

Hi there,

There are a number of places that the coolant can be coming from, so you should get a cooling system pressure test doe, this will help locate your problem.

Hi I found the leek is coming from the oil pan and I have a good amount of coolent in my oil pan mixed with the oil what could this mean?

Hi there,

You will want to be doing a check for a head gasket problem first as coolant in the sump is usually from a head problem.
