I need some tips or guidance on what looked like a simple swap. I have a the car listed above it is a Titanium 2.0t. The driver's side ball joint was bad so I ordered the replacement control arm since you cannot swap out just the ball joint. I got the old one off and I currently have the new one partially in and have been struggling for hours to get the part of the control arm that slides over the frame to slide back onto the frame to get the holes to line up. I got the front single bolt started into the threads but I cannot get the arm to move enough towards the back to get the bracket to slide over the frame (and under the rubber of the sway arm bushing. The rubber sway arm bushing being in the way is the biggest issue. It only needs to slide over about one and a half to two inches! Any ideas?

It looks like the arm might be the wrong size, Is the arm an OEM replacement? I would try loosening the other mounting bolts so everything is threaded but loose. Here is a guide and a video that will help you see how the job is done.
