Will the oil pan off a Mazda 6 2004 2.3l fit a Mazda 3 2007 2.3l?

Both are the same engine but sometimes there are slight variations for putting into a vehicle so it is best to check with your local junk yard, they are in the best position to advise.

I put a 2007 2.3 in my 05 Mazda 3. I had to swap oil pans due to the dipstick placement. Now engine is installed and there is interference somewhere that won't let the engine make a complete rotation.

Yep, it is probably contacting the balance shaft housing or crankshaft, connecting rods. You will need to remove the oil pan to check. Here is how the job is done. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
