What would cause the engine to run rough when idling?

There are times when it sounds and acts like it is going to die. The RPM's drop off and then come back up to normal operating range. Sometimes, it doesn't run rough. I thought it might have been bad spark plugs, so they were changed out. Could it be a bad spark plug wire or dirty fuel injectors?

Thanks,
Allen

Is the "check engine" light on? Are there any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)? If you haven't changed the spark plug wires in a while, it's not a bad idea to put a new set on. When was the last time the fuel filter was changed?

There aren't any check engine lights on. I will change the spark plug wires and the fuel filter and see what happens.

Thanks
