The steering wheel turns by itself both directions very hard?

After replacing the power steering pump and racknpinion, the steering wheel turns by itself both directions very hard.

Hi,

There was a recall on the vehicle's lower control arms (separating at rear mount), the subframe mounts, and the body mounts. This was causing issues with the intermediate shaft and in some cases, the intermediate shaft was coming disconnected.

Under these conditions, steering control was reduced and people were actually experiencing what you described.

I have attached a copy of the recall. Take a look through it and contact your local Ford Dealer if this recall wasn't completed.

Based on the work that was just done, I feel there could be a structural issue with the vehicle. That's why I am suggesting you investigate the recall to confirm it was done on your vehicle.
