My talon has been sitting for a year and a half, and im wanting to start driving it again. I am wondering what I need to do before starting it. Its turbocharged if that makes any difference, probably not but eh! I have heard that changing the oil, the fuel filter is a good start. What else? Im going to be transporting it 300km to my new home, and all I need is a way to get in driving condition to my house. Once its there, I will put more work into it, but I just need a quick fix to get it here. Thanks alot. Suggestions?

Hi there,

Change the oil and filter, remover the spark plugs and squirt a small amount of oil inti each cylinder, crank with fully charged battery (plugs out, till oil pressure is up, this will also coat the bores with a small amount of oil so no dry start up in the bores. Crank for 8-10 sec and rest re do till pressure is up, try and prime the filter as well. If you can drain the fuel it will be off, change the filter (fuel) add some good quality fuel system cleaner and you should be good for a start. Make sure brakes are not bound up, and all electrics work.
